City of Bellemeade

I saw a salt truck driving down N. Chadwick after the snowfall. It had a plow but was not plowing, just dropping salt.

The snow was gone from my driveway before it was gone from Bellemeade, Charring Cross, Dorchester, and Southhampton, and I did nothing to remove it.  I do not routinely drive on the other streets in the city, so I don't know their status.

North Chadwick was cleared promptly and kept cleared by Metro.

I understand our contracted snow plow "came through" the other streets in Bellemeade, but "the operator didn't drop the blade down far enough."  Why not?

Now, are we expected to pay for ineffective contract work?  Should we not contract with someone who can do it right?  Was the current contractor contacted and asked to make a second trip through and drop the blade this time?  I  object to paying for what we do not get.

Oh, I did notice that part of Wood Road was clear on Monday following the Thursday/Friday snow and deep freeze.

From now on the East side of Wood Road will have snow removal.

I am checking on which city needs to do the west side.
