It seems that WM picked up their green bins right after they emptied them for the last time.  I called the City about the lids that were left behind and was told that since we paid for the lids, they are ours to do with what we please.  He suggested that if I didn't want it (and why would I?), I could toss it in the blue bin and recycle it.  Also, I was told that WM won't be making any other rounds to pick up any green bins that were left behind, so if you still have one, it's yours.  Not the greatest system, IMHO, but that's what I was told.

Ahhh, the irony. Will attempt to recycle the wheeled bin with lid versus create more trash. Thank you for your time researching this answer.
