Tyvola Road Bus Service in Madison Park Discontinued

Posted in: Madison Park

60 Tyvola Road – Service between Tyvola LYNX Station and the South Park Community Transit Center will be discontinued on Weekdays and Saturdays. Service between Tyvola LYNX Station and West Boulevard (Renaissance Place) will be maintained. The Route will no longer continue as the Route 10 at Renaissance Place. Customers traveling to the South Park Community Transit Center may use the Route 30 Woodlawn Crosstown or Route 57 Archdale to connect between SouthPark and the LYNX Blue Line.??‹

This discontinued service is bad!

It is bad for the people that took the bus to the light rail in Madison Park.   Marion Diehl had enough passengers that they even got a bus stop bench a couple of years ago.  I see Seniors getting off the bus and crossing busy Tyvola from the East Bound lanes.  So there are/were people that used the bus to reach the complex.    It was a big deal to get that bench, and took a week to put in the platform.   There was always people getting off up at Elmsley Grove.  It may not of been a large number of riders,  but still some folks depended on that transportation.

Seems Wrong to me to cut service from Old Pineville Road to Park Road to the Marion Diehl, Queens Sports Complex, and just leaving our residents that do take the light rail without that bus option now.
