Red bins for recycling to be discontinued July 6
Starting July 6, red bins won't be collected. Red bin users will get green recycling carts in June. Call 311 or 704-336-7600 if you don't get yours by June 26.??‹

Green bins were dropped off in the Madison Park area on Tuesday for those still using red totes. |

There are several reasons for this change.
Easier on the drivers, trash want blow if windy, and if it rains the paper will not be damaged by becoming wet. Rain on newspapers makes it not recyclable. |
