Yes that is the best thing we can do.  Keep our eyes open and call 911.   If you don't want the officer to contact you when he comes out just tell the 911 operator you prefer to not be contacted.  They normally always ask if you want to speak to officer. 

 

In past situations tips from our residents lead to arrest, and have helped to move the criminals out of our community.   CMPD does encourage phone tips, and they do not mind checking out anyone suspicious, just like our Community/Neighborhood Watch signs warn.   The signs are no good if we don't call.  If we start chasing these crooks out of the area they will go some place else where residents are not watching out for each other. 

 

Also lock your doors, park in your driveway, and park under a light whenever possible.

 

Leave no valuables in your autos including loose change.
