Wedgewood Celebrations
- Mia Manning-Osborn agreed to be Wedgewood's moderator.
-We are very lucky to have Sarah DeShields and Linda Flynn on staff.
-We had great start to Taize Worship and Fourth Sunday worship.
- We have established a Wedgewood food pantry.
- Darci Powell is our new 2nd Harvest Food Bank coordinator. (We would like to have co-coordinators. Let Chris know if you can be a co-coordinator.
-Several people have indicated they want to be Wedgewoodians: Robert and Annie Wylie, Toni Reif, Joey Sharp, Matt, Kelley and Gavin Gilbert. Let Chris know if you want to be a Wedgewoodian.
- We have a new message sign by road with 12 inch letters. A previous sign was vandalized. They stole letters and left behind "A Lesbo Church" as the message.
-All our hard work through the years on LGBT equality.- Pastor Chris had two recent TV interviews and was published in NT Times online edition.
-Ryusho Jeffries, a Buddhist priest who donated a Peace Pole to Wedgewood which was stolen, has ordered a new Peace Pole for us.
-The path to fire pit has been graveled.
-Wedgewood's Bank Account has $28,000 in it and is holding at that level even during summer months. Unprecedented at Wedgewood.
-God has provided us with the leaders and people we need to create our present and future.

Fellowship Meal This Sunday

Typically our Fellowship Meal is after worship on the 2nd Sunday after worship but the June Fellowship Meal is this Sunday. Shakira Wiliams is providing her famous lasagna. Bring salads and desserts.
We need people to set up the Jim Rivers Hall at 9:30 and we need everyone to help with clean up.

We need a coordinator to organize volunteers to staff a Wedgewood table. Charlotte Crowne Plaza, 5700 Westpark Dr., Charlotte, Noon-6 p.m.
Charlotte Pride
(August 15-16)
We will be sharing a booth with other United Church of Christ churches (Trinity, Concord - Holy Covenant, Charlotte). We need a coordinator to organize Wedgewoodians to be present at the booth and to participate in the Pride Parade on Sunday, August 16.
Let Pastor Chris know if you can be a coordinator ASAP. This is a great outreach opportunity for Wedgewood.

Sing in the Pastor Ensemble This Sunday
Pastor Chris is going to play "Just A Little Talk With Jesus" as a music special this Sunday. He is looking for a Pastor Ensemble. Join him at 9:30 in the choir room to practice "Just a Little Talk". Doesn't matter if you've never been in the choir. You don't have to be a great singer. Just come and make a joyful noise.
