The Madison Park Homeowners Association will be applying for a tree-banding grant from the City of Charlotte's Neighborhood and Business Services (NBS). Upon approval, this grant will provide Madison Park with up to $3,000 to fight the cankerworm infestation that has taken root in our neighborhood. Cankerworms can weaken trees over time. Treebannding is an investment in the health of your trees and the benefits they provide.
As in previous years, we will be working with SilverDuck Treebanding. They provide their services to the neighborhood for a flat rate of $40 per tree. For the first two trees you would like to band, the grant fund will cover 25% of the cost (or $10). So, your cost for those trees will be $30.
Please Note: This program is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Do not delay in your response and payment. This year, we are limiting the grant fund to 2 trees per household. This is being done to allow more homeowners to participate in the grant. (In the past, there was no limit per household.)
If you have additional trees that you would like to band, SilverDuck will band them for the $40 neighborhood flat rate.
