Blessing of the Animals Service

Blessing of the Animals Worship Service, this Sunday (September 20) at 11 a.m. Service is being led by  Josiah Mark Daniels and  Riley Beetner
Worship will be outside if weather permits. If it's raining "cats and dogs" we will worship in the Jim Rivers Hall in case our "friends" have a mishap. Encourage friends, family and neighbors to bring their pets. (Note: Typically, we have Blessing of Animals 1st Sunday of Oct, St. Francis day, but we have a baptism scheduled for that day.)

Conclave This Sunday After Worship
We will have a Conclave meeting in the Jim Rivers Hall immediately after the Blessing of the Animals Worship service.  Animals are welcome at the Conclave. (Yes, not the best day to do Conclave but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to accommodate schedules.  Thanks for your understanding and flexibility.)
Below is a link to Wedgewood's constitution:

Below are the motions that will be made at the Conclave.  The motions involve changes to our constitution so a 2/3 majority vote will be needed.  The motions come to the church from the Administrative Council.
Article IX. Conferences and Conclaves of the Church, Section C. will be amended as follows:
"The Annual Meeting is a special conference of the Church held in the month of November ( was January) each year for the election of officers, boards, committees, and delegates, budget approval, reception of committee reports and reports of Constitutional officers (Moderator, Clerk, Treasurer, Financial Secretary), and such other business as may be set forth in the call. This meeting follows all the provision of the Church Conference."
Article XI. Administrative Council, Section 1. Composition will be amended as follows:
"1. Composition. The four constitutionally named administrative servants of the church, (added ,) the chairpersons of the Deacons, Finance, Christian Education, and Property, plus two at-large members. The pastor serves as a non-voting advisor to the council. At-large members are elected for a one year term."
Article XII. Committees of the Church, Section E. Deacons, b. Duties will be amended as follows:  Line item numbers 5. and 10. have been duplicated.
Remove former line item 5.  "At least annually, the deacons and the ministerial staff will engage in a mutual evaluation of their efforts toward the pastoral care of the church."
Renumber the remaining line items.
Former line item 10. will now be line item 9. and read as follows:  "9. At least annually, the deacons and the ministerial staff will engage in a mutual evaluation of their efforts toward the pastoral care of the church. The deacons will conduct an annual performance evaluation of the pastor and submit it to the administrative board."
