Keep Madison Park Beautiful!

Earlier this year, the Madison Park Homeowners Association received a Keep Charlotte Beautiful Grant to make some improvements at Madison Central Park.  We've scheduled a workday for Saturday, October 3rd and we need your help to make this project a success.  We need about 20 volunteers to come out and get their hands "dirty" starting around 8:00 am.  If you can't make it on Saturday, there may also be some opportunities for you to help on the day before.

We have had very few volunteers for this work day.  Please step up and help us plant some shrubs, flowers,  and trees this Saturday at MCP. 

 

Bring post hole diggers, shovels, gloves.  We will need to dig holes for the trees.

 

This project will make a lasting improvement on our neighborhood park for both the community and the school.

 

Be sure to sign in.  Those volunteering will be reflected on the monthly grant report.  Even though this grant does not require match we will still be reporting the number of folks that took part. 

 

Staging will take place on Thursday so that volunteers can get to work planting when they arrive on Saturday.  

 

There will be 4 above the ground container gardens, so if you are gifted in flower planting this project might work for you.
