Fall is finally here! 

As we move into the fall season, we are enjoying the cooler temperatures and decorating our homes for the upcoming holiday seasons.  We need to make sure that we don't neglect our trees and shrubs. Often times, the leaves fall and we forget about our outside landscape. With the summer being so hot and dry, it is vitally important that we feed our trees and shrubs this fall and not neglect them this year.

 

Fall Fertilization is even more important this year than ever! Our trees and shrubs were neglected this year with the lack of water and nutrients from Mother Nature. A good deep root feeding with a low rate of Nitrogen and beneficial nutrients and bacteria will help feed our trees and get them ready for the next season. The nutrients that will be added to the soil will be absorbed by the tree and stored, allowing the tree or shrub to use them throughout the winter. Trees that go unfertilized and continually get stressed from our condition are more susceptible to insect and disease issues that can lead to the tree's death.

 

Our trees in our urban environment are important for numerous reasons. They add beauty to the landscape, keep the environment clean, and add property value. We need to make sure that we are keeping our trees healthy by feeding them properly.
