Remember You Can & Should Turn Back Time 11/1/15

Posted in: Madison Park

If you don't turn back time,  you will arrive early by 1 hour everywhere you go Sunday November 1st.

Daylight Savings Time Ends

Clocks should be turned back one hour at 2:00 a.m. in the United States on November 1. There are a few states who don't observe Daylight Saving Time change. They are Arizona, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

This is great if you are out at the clubs Saturday night.  You get an extra hour to party.

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 1. Set your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Halloween. The time change is a great time for some basic housekeeping to ensure a safe fall and winter:

  • Put fresh batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarms.
  • Replace smoke alarms older than 10 years and CO alarms older than five years.
  • Create and/or update your family disaster supply kit for water, food, flashlights, batteries, blankets, etc.). Learn what items should be your kit.
  • Check and properly discard any expired prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • If you have a wood-burning fireplace, have your chimney cleaned and inspected to prevent a chimney fire.
