County Announces Closings for Veterans Day

Mecklenburg County government offices and agencies will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11 2015 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.
This includes all units of the Department of Social Services, the Tax Office, Elections Office, the Register of Deeds Office, and the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency (LUESA) Office.
The Department of Social Services Care Line (704-336-CARE or 704-336-2773) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive reports of suspected abuse or neglect of children, the elderly or disabled adults.
The Health Department will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The Main Library and all library branches will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
All Solid Waste facilities and administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Refuse collection in the City of Charlotte will occur on a regular schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 11. If you are in a town, please check with your town for refuse collection schedules.
Park and Recreation administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Recreation centers and senior centers will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11, but nature centers will remain open.
Ray’s Splash Planet will operate special hours on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Marion Diehl Center will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Grayson SkatePark will be open 9 a.m.-6-p.m.
As a reminder, CharMeck 311 is open and available to the public Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-7 p.m.
