Code Enforcement, along with the other divisions of the Land Use & Environmental Services Agency, will be relocating to its new offices at 2145 Suttle Avenue, the weekend of Dec. 18th.

Walk-in customers will have limited service at our Tryon Street location the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 18, as the move begins. The move will continue over the weekend, and our Suttle Avenue location will be closed to walk-in customers Monday, Dec. 21, as staff set up and test our phone and computer systems.

The Suttle Avenue location will officially open for business at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22.

Online services and inspections are expected to be available for the duration of the move with little to no disruption.

The following Land Use & Environmental Services Agency (LUESA) divisions are moving to the Suttle Avenue location after Dec. 18:

  • Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement
  • Air Quality
  • Geospatial Information Services (GIS)
  • Solid Waste
  • Water & Land Resources
  • Support Services

Beginning Dec. 22, walk-in customers should visit us at our new location, which will feature a new Customer Service Center, better parking, and increased meeting space. A ribbon-cutting and open house will be held Jan. 8 -- details to follow. The facility, which formerly housed the Charlotte School of Law, can be accessed from Suttle Avenue, which intersects with both Wilkinson Boulevard (U.S. 74) near John Belk Freeway and West Morehead Street.
