Bringing Culture to the Blocks
Whether you enjoy music, poetry, dance or photography, Mecklenburg County and the Arts & Science Council (ASC) are making it easier than ever to get out and enjoy cultural arts activities without going too far.
In 2016, the two agencies will offer an array of family-friendly programs as part of ASC’s Culture Blocks initiative – an effort that aims to bring cultural programs to underserved neighborhoods throughout the County.

Summer Camp Registration Opens Feb. 1
Although it may be cold outside, it's not too early to begin thinking about summer. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will open registration for 2016 summer camps starting Monday, Feb. 1.
Camps are offered for youth and teens at affordable rates June through August. The selection includes swim camps, nature camps, sports camps and much more.
