??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹??‹Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT)
- The Charlotte Department of Transportation continues to treat area bridges, culverts and selected streets with salt brine.
- Crews will be working overnight to treat roads.
- Beginning at 10 p.m. today, City Street Maintenance crews will be operating on a "Condition B." This condition calls for 32 trucks, 64 crew members and necessary support staff. Crews will be working in 12 hour shifts starting at 7 a.m. Friday through 7 p.m. Saturday.??‹
- Roads will be evaluated throughout as conditions change and work will be adjusted as needed.
- Report icy conditions to CharMeck 311 or street maintenance at 704-336-3200. Dial 911 for emergencies or accidents.
- Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians are advised to be cautious when near trucks treating roads and to leave extra space between them and other vehicles.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)
- Snow crews will be activated at 11 p.m. and will work in 12-hour shifts throughout the night to clear the runways.
- Travelers should keep a close eye on any potential cancellations as the weather conditions change.
- Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)
- CATS will continue to operate on a regular schedule as conditions are monitored.
- CATS has begun preparing sand and ice-melting product to be used to treat Blue Line rail station platforms, Gold Line Streetcar station platforms, the Rail Skip Trail, facilities and Park and Rides.
- Equipment is ready for use and CATS staff and contractors are on alert and ready to take action.
Solid Waste Services (SWS)
- Thursday and Friday customers will be picked up on Friday. If inclement weather delays pickup, leave carts out until they are collected.
