Riding the XCLT??‹

The City of Charlotte is partnering with Mecklenburg County to create a 26-mile trail and greenway facility that will stretch from the City of Pineville, through Center City and on to the UNC Charlotte campus and Cabarrus County line. This is the Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT). Once completed, residents will be able to travel seamlessly from one end of Charlotte to the other. Approximately 98,000 jobs and 80,000 residents will be within a half mile of the proposed trail, which will connect to many treasured places and major employment centers. 

 

Master Plan Celebration a Success! 
Cross Charlotte Trail: Master Celebration Saturday, October 17, 2015
Thank you for joining us on the bicycle and walking tours on October 17. The event took place to celebrate the conclusion of the Master Plan and identify the proposed alignment of the 26-mile XCLT stretching from the City of Pineville through Center City and on to the UNC Charlotte campus and the Cabarrus County line. Tour groups stopped at locations along the trail to hear more about the future development of the XCLT.
