Picture a beautiful, charming neighborhood featuring lush tree-lined streets and quarter-acre lots just minutes from Uptown Charlotte.

Madison Park was one of the first modern post WWII neighborhoods in Charlotte and has continued to be a staple in our city. Madison Park is a quaint community generally located in the boundaries of Park Road and South Boulevard east-west and Tyvola Road and Woodlawn Road north-south and includes a couple streets on the other side of Tyvloa Road which backs up to the Montclaire neighborhood. Of the near 2,000 residences, most homes are ranch-style featuring single level living but there are several 2-story and spit-level floorplans as well. Most of the homes were built on the 1950’s and 1960’s, giving the neighborhood its’ charm, but many of them have been completely renovated inside and all are meticulously well-kept on the outside. One of the neighborhood features I love most is the ample green space; Madison Park has its own park, Madison Central Park, a beautiful rose garden and most homes themselves have at least a quarter acre of land which is difficult to find given its’ proximity to center city.

There is no mandatory HOA covenants to abide by, but residents are expected to follow city ordinances and zoning laws as well as maintain the community standards. Homeowners are asked to pay a mere $20 per year per household to the HOA to help fund community events throughout each year. These events include monthly socials as well as 4 annual events including a Spring Egg Hunt, Trunk or Treat, Fall Festival and holiday party. It is not often a home comes on the market in Madison Park, and when they do, they are often scooped up quickly. Part of this reason is due to the affordability of the area and the real sense of community among the neighbors.
