Vote From Home Now without Photo ID

Posted in: Madison Park

Vote now absentee from home or anywhere you might be/ Vote Early / Or Vote Election Day March 15th!

Lets have a HUGE Turn out in Madison Park / Montclaire.

If you are not registered take advantage of Early Voting.  It is the only place you can register and vote.  That is an eception being made to the current election laws of NC.   So don't miss your last chance to register and vote in NC for March 15th.

If you are registered...request that absentee ballot now and vote from HOME/OR Wherever.

Use one of the many early voting sites opening soon.

Lastly vote on March 15th. 6:30 AM until 7:30 PM.   Using this method requires you vote at your asssigned precinct.   If you moved less than 30 days before the March 15th primary that means you must vote at your old precinct ONLY!   More than 30 days you Must vote at your New Precinct.     Get those address changes done now in advance.   Use link in immediate post above to check assigned location.

On election day the process will be very similar to past years ...

For a Primary

You enter precinct and fill out the authorization slip to vote.  Then head to the poll book table.

The big Difference is:

#1 you will be asked to present election staff with your Acceptable Photo Id ....Then everything else is the same.  #2 You must state your name, address, and the party you wish to vote for the Primary.  This is a requirement under NC election laws.    If you are unaffiliated you can choose to vote that ballot, you can choose to vote D, or you can choose to vote R.   If you are under 18 but will be 18 by the General election in November and are registered you will have a ballot opotion.

As long as you are registered and at the correct precinct you are ready to go in most cases to the voting machines to cast your ballot.

Now remember if you are NOT REGISTERED that the only way you can vote in this March 15th primary is go to early voting and use the current legal exception being made that allows you to vote and register during early voting only on the same day.    THIS WILL NOT WORK on Election day...so do it only during early voting.    NC law forbids this ..but a judge is allowing it currently.

Get thosse ballots mailed and Vote AT HOME now.    If not head to early voting starting Thursday 3rd, 2016 and VOTE EARLY.

Remember Curb side voting is available for those that need it.

Remember unless you vote at home absentee you will need to present an acceptable photo ID for 2016!
