How to remove yourself from registration rolls

Requirements for removal from the voter registration rolls:

To remove your name from the Mecklenburg County voter registration rolls, please send us a letter requesting removal. Provide your full name, your registration address in Mecklenburg, and your signature. Your date of birth is helpful.
 
To remove a near relative's name due to death ??‹please download and complete the Notification of Deceased Voter Form.

How To Register for Voting

 

In order to register you must be:

  • a U.S. citizen.
  • a resident of North Carolina and Mecklenburg County for 30 days.
  • at least 18 years old.
    - Individuals who will be 18 by the general election are eligible to register 60 days prior to the associated primary.

 

Download the Registration Application, complete the form, be sure to sign the form, and send signed completed form to our office.
