Street Light Plans are Out for Wedgewood / Montford

Posted in: Madison Park

All of Wedgewood Drive and Montford and Brockbank have new street lighting plans to fill in the gaps.   Everyone along those streets should of received the plan info in a letter from the HOA.

There have been a couple of public meetings.

Even if you failed to attend you should let the city know you are for the project, hopefully not against, or you don't care one way or the other (which wll probably be counted as a yes)

Be sure if you live on those streets to weigh in on the street lights.

If you did not get the letter and you live on these streets and own the property and do not rent contact the HOA

president@madisonparkcharlotte.org,   I understand one of the VP's Emily has stepped up to take over as president as the prior president stepped down this month.

CMPD believes street light help cut back on nighttime crime.

Past efforts to install streetlights have always found the majority of folks have been in favor of street lights.

Once the plan is approved you have 30 days to appeal to CDOT.  Duke Energy started working on the plans back in 2015.

As residents of the neighborhood, please provide feedback to the board. Emails can be sent to  "president@madisonparkcharlotte.org"
The address for the input back to the city is through Ralph Truitt - Ralph  Truitt - CDOT Street Lights <rtruitt@ci.charlotte.nc.us>.

IF you live on the effective streets show your support for the lights.  Apparently what was sent out did not really give an option to provide feedback to the HOA or city other than the public meetings.   I was unaware of this until more details were shared with me the last 24 hours on the efforts to obtain more street lights.
