Fourth of July
Flag Planting

Ruth Tansill needs your help! She's leading a campaign to plant flags along Lamont, Murrayhill and Wedgwood to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. If you can help, meet-up at the corner of Lamont and Wedgwood.  The planting starts @ 7:30 am

Ruth picked up this idea from residents in Montclaire that plant flags in the right of way around patriotic holidays along Chedworth Drive and parts of Seacroft in the Montclaire area.

This is a private residents project and not an official HOA project.   If you like what she does find out from her how your immediate area might take part in the future.

I believe Ruth footed the bill for most if not all the flags in her area.

Please don't move or remove the flags as Ruth will collect them after the Holiday for safe keeping until the next one.

City of Charlotte has flag display rules, but they are not in effect around Federal or State Holidays Only.     Only exception is they can't block sight views or cause a safety issue.

So enjoy the flags if you are in one of the areas getting them.

I have heard a few people were offended by her flag efforts.   If you live in the area getting the flags and don't wish to have one simply let Ruth know and she will be sure to not have one installed along the street front at your home.   Her efforts was to do something nice, and not to offend anyone.

If you need to contact Ruth you can get her info off the alert she left at your house regarding this project requesting your support it.

Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July!
