Dear Marty,

The grant for tree banding is again being offered by the City of Charlotte:

Grants Available to Combat Cankerworms in Charlotte Neighborhoods

However a change in this grant has been adopted which calls for  mandatory community volunteer hours.

SilverDuck has partnered with the city and come up with a very easy, and extremely helpful process that will allow your HOA or community to quickly build the required volunteering hours.

This year we will be providing brightly colored ribbon to all participating HOA's which will be used to mark the trees in the area that are to be banded. We are planning on starting our HOA monthly meeting presentations in August, and will provide tree banding, cankerworm, and tree spraying info, plus the ribbon to any HOA that requests our participation.

It's clear, that a well planned, and more importantly, well executed tree banding program does help to control cankerworms. We have more experience, install and remove more tree bands, and spray more trees in the spring, then all the other service providers combined.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO!
Last year alone we did close to 20,000 trees, and worked for 21 different HOA's in both North and South Carolina.
Call our office or email us today to have us present at your HOA monthly meeting.  We are already doing presentations for newly formed HOA's, and our schedule does fill up quickly as it seems many HOA's have their meetings on the same day and time.
We can also help you with how to word and present your grant application to the City of Charlotte.  The deadline is September 1, 2016.
Thank you again for choosing our service, and we will work hard to earn your business.
Sincerely,

Billy DeRosa
