Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told two newspapers Saturday that he has no intention of quitting the presidential race despite a growing chorus of Republicans urging him to step aside after a 2005 video surfaced with Trump using vulgar and sexually aggressive terms about women.

"I'd never withdraw. I've never withdrawn in my life," Trump told The Washington Post. "No, I'm not quitting. I have tremendous support."

He told The Wall Street Journal there is "zero chance I'll quit."

Also on Saturday:

• Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, decided not to attend a Wisconsin GOP event at which he was scheduled to appear with House Speaker Paul Ryan in place of Trump, a campaign source told CNN. No reason was given.

• Mike Crapo and Kelly Ayotte became the first Republican senators to back away from Donald Trump after his remarks about women were revealed.

Trump is scheduled to debate Hillary Clinton on Sunday night in a town hall forum that is airing on CNN and co-moderated by CNN's Anderson Cooper.
