The next election is a General Election on November 8, 2016. 

 Election Day polls will be open from 6:30AM until 7:30PM

Photo ID Education

On July 29, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit struck down photo ID requirements and associated laws in North Carolina ??‹(S.L. 2013-381, as amended by S.L. 2015-103??‹).  Photo ID will NOT be required in the upcoming general election.

If you moved less than 30 days before the election you MUST vote at your old precinct.  If you moved more than 30 days before the election you MUST vote at your new precinct.   

 

If this is you consider doing EARLY Voting.     If you moves happened within Mecklenburg County the poll workers will be able to make the switch and give you the correct ballot but ONLY During Early Voting.  

 

On election day you will have to go either to the old voting location if less than 30 days, or the new one if more than 30 days to VOTE!
