Martin, Roy Cooper is reaching out to you because of your support for Democrats in North Carolina. Roy's running for governor to build a North Carolina that works for everyone, not just the privileged few, and he's counting on your support. Martin, It's been a difficult few years for many of us in North Carolina. Average income lags way behind the national average, and many people are working jobs making less money than before the recession. Brutal cuts to education, renewed attacks on teachers, and tax cuts that favor corporations and the rich are taking their toll. These wrong priorities hamper real growth and prosperity, and North Carolinians just can't afford it much longer. As a father, husband, North Carolina native, and your attorney general, I can't sit by and watch our state's future jeopardized by the folks in Raleigh. I have worked hard to stand up to special interests and look out for all the people of our state. If you aren't familiar with me, know this: I will be your voice in Raleigh and push back against the legislature's plan to underfund education and reward special interests. But to change the direction of our state, we need to make sure we understand the toll the last four years have taken. I recently released a video which focuses on the many North Carolinians left behind by Governor McCrory's so-called "Carolina Comeback." Thank you, Roy Cooper |
