If you have moved less than 30 days before the election or even more than 30 days.  The reason is on election day you will be directed either to your old precinct or your new precinct if you show up at the wrong location.    HOWEVER ONLY at Early Voting the workers will be able to pull up your correct ballot without you having to travel to the new location to vote on the machines or aka voting panels.  

This is NOT POSSIBLE on election day.   Your assigned precicnt HAS ONLY the precicnt for that area.   

So save YOURSELF a headache and having to go somewhere else to vote and use Early Voting for those of you that have recenlty moved.    It really will be so much easier on YOU!

Also Early voting is the only place you can register to vote now!    Come election day and you are not registered you are out of LUCK for this election.     To vote on election day you must be registered 25 days prior to the election day.    That has long come and gone.     However Early Voting gives you the option of registering and voting at early voting only.

Don't Forget Curb side voting is available at all Early Voting Sites for those with needs that don't allow them to come inside.

You can still get those absentee ballots mailed if you do it in the next day or two.   That will allow anyone for any reason to VOTE from home or wherever you might be.   They must be postmarked by a certain date in order for them to count.

More than 10K people have voted by mail in Mecklenburg County this election.

Also early voting sites have way more machines than your local precinct so even with lines they should be able to get you in and out faster than your assigned location on election day.  

I have heard several people say they voted at Marion Diehl in the afternoon with zero waits.   

Absentee ballot request due no later than November 1st.     So get those in ASAP if you wish to vote from home instead of your assigned precinct or early voting through this Saturday at an early voting site.

You missed the request to VOTE From Home. 

Use Early Voting all this week.   Early voting Ends Saturday 11/5/16 at 1 PM.

AVOID ELECTION DAY LINES. 

Early voting Sites have a lot more voting machines than your assigned locations.

Early Voting is the Best Place to go if you have moved and not sure if you need to be at your old location or new location for voting.   Rule is if you moved less than 30 days you go to your old location.   More than 30 days the new location.  If this applies to you the great thing is Early voting allows you to do it all in one place without traveling as you will need to do on Election Day.

Early voting is the only place to register and vote same day.   You have missed the deadline to register to vote on election day 11/8/16.       However early voting still allows same day registration.    ELECTION DAY DOES NOT provide you that option.
