On February 22, Horizon Development Properties, Inc.'s CEO/President A Fulton Meachem Jr. was joined by Congresswoman Alma Adam's (NO-12), Charlotte Mayer Jennifer Roberts and Councilwoman Patsy Kinsey for the grand opening of an affordable senior living property, The Landing at Park Road. Located at 1147 Marsh Road in Charlotte's Sedgefield neighborhood, the new 92-unit community offers affordable, yet stylish apartments designed for adults 55 and older.
Ideally situated at the intersection of Park Road and Marsh Road, The Landing at Park Road included convenient access to shopping and public transit, and features amenities for the residents such as garden spaces, a cozy library, club room, TV lounge, fitness room, and a code entry system for extra piece of mind. The new community is professionally managed by Blue Horizon Property Management.
The $15.7 million construction project was developed for seniors with incomes at or below 60 percent of the area median income. Horizon Development Properties, Inc. financed the project with several sources including tax credits and $1.3 million City of Charlotte Housing Trust Fund.
