Congratulation to Madison Park Reisdent Elizabeth Knapp. She was appointed to the Mecklenburg County Waste Management Advisory Board tonight by the Mecklenburg County Commission.
That is pretty good along with me we now have two of the board seats out of the total of 12 WMAB seats that are tied back to our Madison Park Neighborhood. I represent the City of Charlotte on the board as I am nominated by the City Council, but actually appointed by County Commission I have already served a little over 3 years and was just appointed for another 3 years last nonth.
Elizabeth Knapp will fill one of the seats left open when the Mecklenburg towns failed to nominate someone to represent their town. Only Matthews bothered to submit a recommendation.
