Feeding families at 'just the right time'

Meet Sheila Tuttle, leader of a special volunteer effort to feed women and children in our city 

What started 14 years ago as one woman’s quest to figure out how she could help others and make a difference in Charlotte led to a movement resulting in a $150,000 fundraising campaign for kitchen renovations to help provide local homeless women and children with daily meals and shelter.

Beauty product lines and clothing companies get it??Š—??Ša woman’s natural beauty is one of her best assets. We can apply the same thinking to the city we call home. Step outside on a warm, spring day and you’ll appreciate all Charlotte has offer beyond her shiny skyscrapers. With Earth Week upon us next week, (April 17–21, 2017) many organizations who work daily to protect Charlotte’s air, water and tree canopy will share ways local residents and visitors can help keep her green and beautiful.
