June is National Healthy Homes Month!

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes is excited to kick off the 2nd Annual National Healthy Homes Month this month!

Almost 6 million homes in the U.S. have moderate to severe physical infrastructure problems and approximately 30 million have indoor environmental hazards. National Healthy Homes Month is a multifaceted outreach campaign which aims to help families identify health hazards as well as provide the education and resources necessary to help address them.

Would you like to get involved? HUD's Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes created the 2017 National Healthy Homes Month Planning Guide to help you with everything from planning local events in support of National Healthy Homes Month to sample templates of fact sheets as well as messaging to get the word out! The 2017 National Healthy Home Month Planning Guide is your one-stop-shop to making National Healthy Homes Month 2017 a success!

Together, we can help more families take action to protect themselves from housing-related health hazards.

We may be well-intended in our neighborliness, but are we really aware and sensitive to what being a good neighbor looks like across different cultures? In this workshop we will explore cultural diversity in the context of neighborhoods. We will share stories, ideas and strategies for building an authentic, inclusive and welcoming community for all people. REGISTER HERE.
