df...don't think you saw this.....I want some catfish!!!  LOL

I'm back from camping....for 4 days. Glad to see Wroe and Hoppy postin. I camped on the Miss. and caught some major catfish. Some big honkers and cooked them over an open fire. Anyone jealous? HA!

I am!!!!!!!!  Haven't made it camping yet this year.

Where did you go?   I want some of those honkin catfish!!

Just kidding. I really hate to give up a secret spot, but I guess I'll do it just for you. I camped at Montepelier. The cats hit when its dusk and through the night. I caught them on worm to boot. If you go by camping spot #10 you will see a big tree in the river. That is where I caught the catfish and a bunch of perch. Please know that there is a lot of rules at this campground and they enforce them. So needless to say Drunkenfool got into trouble a couple of times. heehee It is a more pricey campground, but I think it is worth it because of the good fishing.

P.S. There was some guys fishing next to me using fancy bait and caught zero catfish. I caught way more fish than them using just worm and fishing bottom.

Thanks, might have to grab the kids and go camping!  I don't bother with the fancy bait or lures, way to much work!   I would rather throw it out, sit back with a drink, and wait for the fish to jump on!

Let me know how it goes with the fishin. Also they have a big playground for the kids.
