I talked to one of the guys that was asked to leave before his shift ended, he said they would be paid till the end of shift. Also anyone that should come in on third shift would be paid till midnight. I worked at GPC for over 32 years, I retired in Feb 07. It was not the same place I got hired to. The people running the place now does not care about anyone. They don't know how to treat people or communicate to them. I know a lot of these people and I will be thinking of them.

I'll be thinking and wishing the best for everyone. I'll hope that calm heads and wisdom prevail. This is never a good situation for either side.

I have a few friends standing on the picket line and was told they signed the strike for fear of getting hurt by other union members if they didn't.  These unions are nothing but a bunch of whining little babies that need there positions filled from another worker.  Next the union will want GPC to supply free toilet paper for life at there homes.  Just like a union to expect something for nothing!!

Your friends that say that they were afraid of being hurt are full of crap. If they are walking the line, they are doing so because they want to be, not because someone forced them to. It seems to me they might not be telling the whole truth.  The Union is representing the majority of the employees.  GO UNION!!!!!
