HEY HON IS HIREING FOR HALF THE PAY. 

WROE...Iowa is called a "right to work state". That means no one has to join a union where a union exists. That means there can be union and non-union members at the same compnay in Iowa. Public/government or private company; does not matter. Union and non-union co-exist.

Non-union members get the exact same benefits as non-union, usually; but they do not have to pay any dues.

     That makes little to no sense to me?  Why would anyone be union and pay if they didn't have to.

That wroe is why non-union folks in a Union shop are called scabs. Theya re the first to bitch and moan when things dont go their way and whine and cry but dont want to pay their dues. I work in a Union shop and wont speak to or deal with scabs unless I have to. They can fly off for all I care.

Say what you want but you non/anti union types have Unions to thank for most of your benifits,rights and employmee protections you do have.
 Do you think for one second that any employer "gives" benifits because they want to? Think again. They either give them because they dont want a Union or because they have a Union. Either way, it is because of us Union folks that you have health insurance and the slaries you do. Think about it before you bash us.
