It's early, but a reminder that School board elections are coming up Tuesday September 9th.  Find out who is running in your district and what they stand for, go vote. 

Running again janitor?

Janitor,   You are 100% right.  This is so important, and yet there has been no publicity or campaign literature.  Believe there are 3 people running for two seats.  Our schools  are the key to our kids (and our community's) future.  We must know what is at stake and try for 100% (informed) turnout. 

There will most likely not be signs placed. Since it is not a major election the candidates don't go through all those hoops.  The Women voters group held a debate Tuesday night.  I did not know anything about it.  There was an article in the on-line Journal and on the radio.  Both the radio and the Journal will carry candidate profiles.   There are three candidates, Tom Welk, Jerry Lange and John Haller.  There are two open seats. 

No, I am not running or re-running.  I am an employee and even though the law has changed and I could run, I think I'll wait until after retirement to do so.
