Good morning all. Looking for an issue to sink these funny false teeth into.
I'm not a chemist by any means nor will to sound like one, and please understand I'm not saying any of this that other stuff is true, but...... I do know a bit about chlorine in my laundry room, and that fluoride is a tooth protector. In many other places right out in any amounts, a poison. But what does bother my old instincts is that once ingested, the chemical doesn't magically find it's way to a person's teeth and only the teeth. It HAS to affect the entire body and as it has been said, it does not break down to a harmless measure. I only know what I have read or seen, about it's accidental discovery from a documentary regarding the natural occurring fluoride in a small Texas town in the 40's or the 50's, where the incidence of tooth decay was the lowest in the nation. That had something to do with flouride's natural occurrence there. I don't recall the way it was introduced into the body, food or water, but outside of staining, these folks teeth were very strong and fairly cavity free. But there were other issues with fluoride and how it affected the brain function in a negative way, and also that it had become a huge money maker for certain entities and politicians. Conspiracy? I don't know, but have always wondered why we need added fluoride when virtually every toothpaste on the shelves had plenty enough to do the job of anyone's daily need.
As for chlorine, well that's a nasty one in amounts too high to break down rapidly. I will always be one to er on the side of caution, Why are we so careful regarding asbestos and lead based ANYTHING... NOW. Once we all thought this stuff was safe. Benzene, gosh, we use to play with mercury in science class in school, and what fun it was to watch this silver pool slither all about in the palm of our hands. I use to spray hair-sprays (Methyl Ethyl Keatone, the Mr use to work for monsanto and knows about these nastys')on my own hair for God sake, Chlorofluorocarbons and so on. It's understandable that cities need to cleans and protect the water supplies, but one has to wonder what that is actually doing to the body. This brings up a point, about two years ago, we played cards with some friends in the city, and noticed often how much their water smelled like a public swimming pool. They did contact the city a couple times and each time the water was tested. Then they took a sample and called back to schedule another sample pickup. They phoned again and said everything was fine, within limits. They came back a third time unannounced and did the third test. (Everything was fine) Oddly though the water began to smell less and less like a pool within days and they had been smelling and tasting it for years. They also had pet mice and noticed that within a few months every mouse developed huge tumors and their fish died often after adding fresh water to their tank even though they treated it with the PH thingy. They even had red burning eyes after showers and didn't get soap in the eyes either. I understand, I know little to nothing about chemistry, but when you can smell the chlorine like a treated pool, then there has to be a problem and chlorine is not a safe to drink chemical, regardless of all the scientifics behind the official score as it's applied to your water supply. So many pp- million by shrivelled old butt. At my age that's a ton of PP-millions. Humans, we build cars on Monday and Friday that break down more often, and we can just as easily poison ourselves without realizing it. But, heck fire we can get filters that will help they say, besides, where else you gonna get a drink? unless you have your own independent well or spend a fortune on store bought water that isn't regulated.
Where's grandad's still- when you need it most?
Merry Christmas and God Bless.
