if this American time-bomb is true we are in big trouble. why do we borrow money from communist anyway. why have we outsourced our jobs to china. what happened to our industry. are we going to have china build our military equipment too. how are we every going to repay china and japan for the loans they gave us. what about the trade deficit . how did we go from the top of the world to the bottom in industry. can we fix this mess. Is the middle class the new dinosaur, the way good paying factory jobs are. Are we doomed to end up like Mexico, either you're rich or you're dirt poor. remember when walmart displayed the made in USA theme. remember when there was more owner operated stores and shops. you know butcher stores, shoe stores, clothes stores, auto parts shops, grocery stores and so on. Now there is big corporate stores. we traded quality for cheap. we traded friendly service for quick service. ever feel like stores don't care if you come back. Tired of the cheap crap that does not last much past it's warranty. we are on our third vacuum in two years and it has broken twice now. I actually look for old appliances because they last longer and are cheaper to buy. what happened to this great country. why do we buy our product from communist. A stimulus package, probably went to walmart and other Chinese products, so china's economy got stimulated, not ours. what happened and how do we fix it or can it even be fixed! OY VEY!!!! |

I've said for years now we are not going to be defeated by terrorists or communists, we are going to economically desinergrate from within. Are we at the start of it now? It would sure seem so. |

Looks like the storm of storms is a brewin this morning. I don't mean the weather, though it's a tad ironic. You fellas hit the nails right atop their shiny little heads. Without aiming them at Bush, one does have to exclaim the imponderables left behind after each free trade deal was signed. In all fairness to those wringing their greedy little hands until the G Bush signature crept across the pages of not one but four agreements. Krugman explained it rather bluntly, usually not the case for Paul, but as his years of research shows, NAFTA was singed by Clinton and heralded as a HUGE step in the right direction for American goods sales. But as Krugman put it, it only served the Corporate sectors of agriculture(grains, beef, pork) along with oils and Natural gas. Market stagnation regarding meat and produce remained the same domestically, but at the corporate level the profit's began to roll in like an avalanche. However, the NAFTA signed by Clinton wasn't the NAFTA redesigned under Newt's CONTRACT WITH AMERICA in 1993. Under the Gingrich "new deal," corporate America was allowed to close shop all across the country in nearly every industrial sector though it was primarily implements, auto, and construction manufacturing. Then it hit! The Storm Of Storms. Bush and FREE TRADE GALORE!!!!!!!! I recall shaking my head and about balled each time another trade deal was made. Oh yeah, lets not forget what congressional flag waved in full power and glory from 1993 to 2007. Too late to do much about that once your predecessors chopped down the fruited trees of industry. So, thanks to a redesigned NAFTA,CAFTA, SAFTA, FTA, and the attempts to get BAFTA and SKAFTA before he leaves office, our trade deficits across the globe are reaching unimaginable proportions while, as you WELL PUT it, China and Mexico have now become major owners of the US capitol markets. While ALL the middle east have taken us even deeper into the red with a molestation from OIL. It's why American corporations are reaping profits in the thousands of percentages above what they hauled in a decade ago, ALL THANKS TO A MAN, who couldn't wait to get his signature upon the pages of the worst economics BLUNDER in our history. FREE TRADE. Oh sure, there is free trade that is actually a good thing in moderation. But once the language allows the mass extinction of our industrial supportive infrastructure, then it's just a matter of a few years before our cupboards of jobs are bare. Let's be perfectly honest. Once corporations that manage auto manufacturing, implements, and construction equip. begin to walk across our borders and leave a wake full of unemployed US workers, the other shoe hadn't far to fall. It's simple economics, and our government's cooperation therein, makes this even more despicable. Not once did the president stop and think about the implications of language within all those agreements that allowed even one job to be cut, once corporations were given the green light with tariff and tax eliminations,to close our factories and pocket BILLIONS AND BILLIONS while sharing it with foreign governments as well, instead of recirculating it back into our economy. While "Joe the plumber" and "Wally the Mechanic" get tossed out on their butts to look for another job that isn't there any longer. Even if Congress wasn't wearing their thinking caps, then the president should have been. China cannot be compared any longer to Japan, because Japan is no longer sought after as an American employee replacement. The Japanese alternative market has dried up just like the American worker, because Corporate America no longer wanted to pay Japanese workers what they demand, to the list of high profit allowances for corporate America. Just fallow the FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS on the map. CHINA, MEXICO, CENTRAL AMERICA, SOUTH AMERICA, SOUTH KOREA, BRAZIL, and every other third world shackland, that will muster ten thousand malnourished slaves to make our $100.00 PUMAS, PRO KEDS, CONVERSE, washers, dryers, car parts, cars, pencils, dresses, tv's, hot wheels, kites, hats, coats, flags, socks, tooth brushes, soap, toilet paper, soda bottles, bird houses and OH MY LORD,,,,Everything we buy. Then for heaven's sake, blame US the consumer because we like a good deal now and then. So I get you, and so should EVERYBODY else here in these good ole United States. Greed and power must be stopped or we will go down the tunnels of poverty just like Mexico and have to sneak across their borders to get the jobs that use to be here. If Obama gets any of that changed than he'd be a much better president than either Clinton or Bush. Because as Ronald Reagan put it dozens of times, "WITHOUT JOBS, AMERICANS CANNOT HAVE PROSPERITY OR DIGNITY." Merry Christmas and GOD BLESS |
