So, Daryl, are you suggesting that if we find something worse, that makes lessen things OK?  So, if I murder one person, the fact that someone else murders three means I should not be held responsible for murdering someone?  Is that your logic?

Also, what if some of the people tortured (and we know this has happened) were not terrorrist, but innocents caught up in a bad situation.  Does your example excuse torturing them as well?

Ah ha.....so we're talking LOGIC now.

Ladies and Gentlemen, lets get down to the basics!  As the earth started to populate, (folks moving West), people started to think differently.  (About the time of the Christ child).  As we all know, to this day, the folks in the places that we're dealing with, still believe in Alla, and totally believe that as long as they are doing what THEY believe to be "Allas" wishes, that they will go to their "Heaven".  I remember that mindset in Viet Nam.  That's EXACTLY why we NEVER won the war in Nam or Korea, AND, will NEVER win the war we're in NOW!  WE, with our might, CAN'T win a religious war (which is ALL that this one is)!  Never have, NEVER could!  These folks are TREMENDOUSLY worse and ANY Communist that we have EVER faced!  I guess, to me, that it's about time for us to take care of our own, educate our needy, put people to work, and make a Wal-Mart parking lot out of these other situations.  Our incoming President has a full course meal for 10 on his plate, and, I hope that God is with Us AND him, when he takes over.  I don't think that Bush would like to take over now.  Let me be the 1st to wish each and every one of my neighbors a very Happy and Holy Christmas and New Years.  I wish ALL of you ALL of the BEST in this New Year.  Please pray for our upcoming President.  There AIN'T enough money in this world, for me to take on a position like that.  Peace to you, my neighbors.......Tom Milder.

I must bowto your post Tom. In all my days and religiouslyminded understanding of the Mid East's indifference to our Western Culture and our acceptance of  a Jewish born Christ. Have I been so studiously set to point. Thank you. Yours will be a fine reward one day. Agreed as well that Mr. Bush' tummy could most definitely "churn butter"at the thought of taking over this mess. As you pointed out. We DO need to give our president elect a chance. And, never more than now, this country needs to come together for once in over half a century. Together we need to fight and win this  national/global financial disaster. We sure as "Christ is our Lord" won't win this secular battle in the East. Especially while the majority of the muslim world regards our actions these past five plus years- as one big blunder. Now we look to an eloquent,  inexperienced, especially militarily, young man to take the torch of humility and try to soften those hardened hearts both at home and abroad. With God's help and a reunited nations inner strength, we just might get there. 

I am set to give you's a long break from my seemingly endless rants, musings and such. We are heading south tomorrow for the next couple weeks to spend Christmas with the "Youngsters" and load of grands as it were. Thank you ALL for a wonderful year of chats, rants, and chortles.
