Nearly two-thirds of Americans (65%) think the country will be better off four years from now, a significantly higher percentage (46%) than said the same when President George W. Bush was about to take office in January 2001.

This got me to thinking. What do we, more importantly you, think the next four years will bring us? I hope it brings some honor and integrity to the office of President of the United States. While many can argue the pros and cons of each of our party line Presidents over the past 16 years, few can deny the disgrace both have brought upon our nation.

Anyway predict what you see in the next 4 years. Good, Bad, or the same. Document it now....

I predict that politics will not be predictable in the next four years, and that politics will not play any role in Walmart cheating their employees and continuing to be the current record holder for the largest-ever environmental pollution fines to date, ever paid in history.

That's what I think the next four years will bring us.

Wal-Mart Settles 63 Lawsuits Over Wages

By STEVEN GREENHOUSE and STEPHANIE ROSENBLOOM Published: December 23, 2008

Wal-Mart said on Tuesday that it would pay at least $352 million, and possibly far more, to settle lawsuits across the country claiming that it forced employees to work off the clock. Several lawyers described it as the largest settlement ever for lawsuits over wage violations.

Wal-Mart employees past and present from 42 states, including Ohio, were plaintiffs in the lawsuits. The settlement announced on Tuesday must be approved by dozens of judges.

After years of being embarrassed by lawsuits over its wage practices, the company agreed to settle 63 cases pending in federal and state courts in 42 states.

The workers and their lawyers will receive at least $352 million, and the payments could reach $640 million, depending on how many claims affected workers submit.

Union critics of Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, saw the settlement as proof of their view that the company achieves its low prices in part by cheating workers.

BTW...I am one of the few that remain UN-disgraced by my country. I guess I'm proud of my country. While dissapointments exist, American pride never falters in the truly strong and we just never feel disgraced. Too bad others aren't so strong.

Thanks for asking....

Bigbrother - I respectfully again ask you to quit the trollish behavior. I never said anything about our country being disgraceful in any way. The proud and the strong that you claim credit to, would know that in patriotism lies an ability to search out truth. The lack of that ability would falls just under blind worship. While something I'm sure you're use too....... really not the topic. Neither is walmart.

Yeah...so take that, Bigbrother.  And remember, you can only discuss what he wants you to.  You must stay on topic.  Disagreement equals blind worship.  And when in doubt, call somebody a troll.

So there.....
