I have an old black and white picture that I have the negative for, I was wondering if there was anyone local that can make copies from the negative.  This is pretty important to me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The last I heard WalMart could still do this. They might have to send it out now, I'm not sure.

I just had a conversation the other day with my daughter in law about how the photo business is becoming a lost art. Sad in a way.

Good luck,

Frazz,

If you have the negative, you can take it to Walmart, Hy-Vee, Walgreen's, or anyone else to develops film.  Believe it or not, some people don't use digital cameras, so they still produce negatives when people take film in, and still do reprints off negatives.

Honestly, I have had tons of black&whites developed in the past year or so, and the best work done was at Walmart.  I had gone through old photo albums of both my in-laws and my mother to get old family photos (way old ones too, like my grandmother when she was a little girl).  Anyway, I've had them developed at all three, and I think the quality of Walmart photo far exceeds both Walgreen's and Hy-Vee.  Just take the negative in, they can make a print for you.  I even had them darken one up a little bit that was kind of too light.  Also, I have had film developed at Hy-Vee, and one roll didn't look right to me, and they redid it right away, and the color was so much better.  All 3 of these places want you to be happy with your photos--I've just had the best results from Walmart Photo.

Now, before anyone asks, NO  I don't work for Walmart, I don't know Chosen, (thought I do know TomMilder), and I am not Chosen, Married, or Davey.  (though I am married if that makes sense).

Frazz Good luck with your picture.  If you get a picture, and you need anything done with it, I'm not too bad at correction.  Let me know if I can help.  lilmuscatine@hotmail.com

Good Disclaimer, but I'm affraid all disclaimers of this nature will have to pass the judgement of the fab five. As dawn breaks their ruling will soon follow.

Good Luck!
