It sure is one heck of a lot of money as they all seem to have been.  I'd loved to have heard that he was cancelling the festivities so "THEY"could get right to work trying to repair the economy and errors of the past decade. Better spent elsewhere is an under-statement on a grand scale. However, the choice of a nation and much of the world to express and celebrate their hope wouldn't have been diminished regardless of cost I suppose. Though like you, Big B. and others, I cannot quite shake off that huge number and that goes for most of them, not just Obama's. Wish It were different.

I think I got left out of this one chief. If it's an inaugural expense issue? Or what? I cannot argue with you. I detest the notion of any president's price-tag being above a few bucks. But realistically, that's silly, though NO president's inauguration should be in the fifty to hundred million dollar range. But that's just me, and yes, the past few have been just as ridiculous.

Misinformation presented by the media isn't the public's fault, but that's the problem with that "useless constitution" I suspect. Makes me wonder why they even ask them to swear to Preserve, Protect, and Defend it in the first place. I especially like the "Preserve" part.
