These are the days we look at the worst of what has been and rebuff a look ahead. Not merely the weather as it were, but every winter arrives ahead of the optimists desire, taking with it that summer's fire. Till next, the season's wane will come, ever more our lives could change though curiously forgotten that last page.
Thank you Tom. I think Tom that once folks get the notion to refuse to look back and learn the lesson of past mistakes. Those who have seen of a need for change and a faithful understanding, like serious winter weather. Those people who forget how to navigate, end up shoved up another's rear end, or backward in a ditch. This IS a time to heal, to learn, and accept, that once we knew we were in trouble, our leaders told us that everything was fine. We are not in a recession, our economic core is strong, they had a hand in 9-11, thay have those WMD's. They didn't learn and neither did a nation. Though this time, the majority spoke loudly and said, it's time for a change. It's time this nation grew stronger from within, and it's time to fix our planet and heal our souls. If there are folks who cannot feel this NOW, then I feel sorry for them. They have the hardest lesson of all to learn. If not today, then soon, because if our country does not pull together post-haste, the worst -will- come.
I will give this president as much faith as George Bush deserved and hold him to the highest standard as Bush, and wouldn't hesitate to oust him should it be necessary. He has just begun, and folks should step back a pace and see what he's made of, just as George Bush was allowed. Bush took the reins of a different kind of national tragedy, Obama has his own horse to tame and ride, one that Bush is likely SO HAPPYnot to have to deal with any longer. Neither men deserve to be beaten up so badly, though Bush helped make that bed. Obama might end up the same way, maybe not---but at the least he deserves that chance. GW's legacy might actually be a fair one, while his global efforts were noble and his heart was where it needed to be. He didn't destroy our nation, nor the world, though it seemed like he was sure trying at times. In hind-sight, had anyone known, well it would likely have been a tougher story to write. It's only fair that Obama be allowed the wait, then we can either smile or scowell when that time comes.
God Bless.
