68% and only 3 days on the job. Kinda like giving a highschool student a passing grade just because he/she can spell his/her name correctly.

Obama gets his opening grade

The Gallup Poll on Saturday released the first job-approval rating for President Obama, based on interviews during his first three full days in office: 68 percent.

Now that he's in office, Obama's approval ratings are starting to normalize, as partisan back-and-forth picks up. Just a week ago, Gallup found an astonishing 83 percent approval of how he has handled his transition, showing he had even won over most Republicans.

The new job-approval figure puts him at the upper end of opening poll numbers for presidents, but doesn't set a record.

Must have been a conservative who rated him, because if u listen to liberals he is the messiah and can do NO wrong.....and 68% is pretty low for someone so perfect.

So what are you saying? He only be a good President? I can accept that.....

Thanks

Chosen

Just merely being good wasn't the bill of goods America was sold, was it? But it's no surprise that liberals would accept lesser standards from their guy. What do you do if the rating goes down further? 80-something to 60-something is one helluva drop in only a week.

Where you gonna draw the line? Are you brave enough to tell us all? I project we will never see you post what bottom approval rating you will accept from the messiah, hussein.

Well Lionjack I agree with you and knowing nothing of your rating system there is one thing Obama did that made me real happy. That was to restart the stem cell research and I will tell you why. My Oncologist told me that the best chance I had for curing my cancer was through stem cell research because there is no cure at the present time only remission.

Now that may sound greedy but I really could care less because I feel that I have as much right to life as those people do to there religious beliefs. What I am saying I believe President Bush slowed the research down simply to satisfy the religious right.

I feel that Obama did more for me in one week than President Bush did in 8 years.

Kenn:  I can understand your concern about this, but I urge you to do some research on this subject.   There always was plenty of "stem cell research" going on, even under Bush.  The small portion of the research that was restricted was research with newly created embryonic stem cells.  Previous to the restriction, the research that had occured with embryonic stem cells showed no progress, but that that was going on with other stem cells showed much promise.   And that research continued through the Bush admin.
