I'm sitting here watching Clint Eastwood's Joe Kidd.  What do you all think are the top five westerns ever made?  I am a big John Wayne fan, so most of my favorites are "Duke" movies.  I recently saw a movie called "Open Range" with Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner.  I am not a Costner fan but he was great in this movie.  I think that is now in my top five.  My top five would have to be...

El Dorado John Wayne, Robert Mitchum

Rio Bravo John Wayne, Dean Martin, Rick Nelson and Angie Dickenson

Rio Lobo another John Wayne

Silverado Robert Klein, Scott Glen, Danny Glover and Kevin Costner (A young Costner)

Open Range

What are some of your favorites?

Oooh!!  Pale rider is one of my favorite movies, period.   I really like Unforgiven, too.  Big Jake was my favorite John Wayne movie.
