Muscatine

Politics to prepare for...gee...with this posting of your commitments and your dedication to Ia City; I wonder how voters are supposed to think they would have faired if electing you in November of 07 to be Muscatine's Mayor?

Looks like you had some pretty well set goals to be involved in what you are doing; especially advancing your education. I don't seem to remember any promises to put such a lofty goal stream on hold if you had gotten elected in Muscatine, though.

With the wishes for what you wanted to achieve in Muscatine stated here, I don't see any wishes that you had been elected mayor and had then placed your life's advancement on hold, as you would have had to. Or simply resign as mayor mid-term and leave the citizens all behind anyway to achieve your then, unstated goals.

Seems to me that you just might have been stroking the citizens of Muscatine during that election cycle.

This is probably the last time I'm going to be able to post here - considering I never check this site anymore. But I feel I should response to BigBrother first.

I had actually a plan for staying in Muscatine already. You see, I graduated high school with 29 AP credits. I finished MCC with 67 total credits including those in 2008. My plan was, if I won, to stay at MCC for another semester or two because AP credits and Community College credits can be transferred up to 90. So I wouldn't be finished at MCC until 1.5 years into my term. Then I could take 1/2 year off from school, probably using it to study anyway, and then transfer to Iowa to earn my final credits to graduate as a Hawkeye. I had also considered St. Ambrose as a closer alternative.

Have a good night all!
