We didn't know what was wrong, we thought there was something wrong with the computer that was tripping the surge protector. We were seriously thinking of getting a new one. Then my husband had a great idea, plug the protector into another plug in and guess what!!! it did the same thing. So instead of spending a few hundred dollars we fixed the problem forabout $40.00. Sometimes that man surprises me!! So if for no unknown reason your computer just shuts off check the surge protector first.
