Check out this link.....you can vote about how you feel he is doing....its funny cuz more than half the people are giving him a poor grade like 52 or 53 percent say he's doing a bad job.......quite funny...most of us on this board stated we knew he would even before he was elected...people voted for change...now they arent happy with the change they got......and our grandkids just inherited a deficit bigger than any we have ever seen!   LONG LIVE THE PORK BARRELL PROJECTS!

Nice  (but not at all scientific) poll.  By clearing TIF's, I was able to vote so far 8 times.   CNN/Gallup poll, and NBC/WSJ poll still have him in the mid-sixties for approval rating.  Polls can be spun a lot of ways.  I could conduct my own poll on the streets of Muscatine and depending on who I ask, get a variety of results.

This country was willing to give Bush 8 years with an open checkbook in the name of "National Security", and left us with a record deficit.     It would be nice to give Obama a little more than 7 weeks

As I've said before, the only legitimate poll, backed up by it's prediction success record, is the Rasmussen poll (Presidential Tracking Poll, if you will).   The Pew poll is also good, but if you want non-biased polling and the best track record for accuracy, go with Rasmussen.   All these other main stream polls have abismal records and are worse than useless, they are biased and misleading.

By the way, I looked at the last 8 years as not giving Bush an open checkbook, but rather giving our national security an open checkbook.  It took a lot to keep us from getting hit again by the towel heads.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken; but a president only presents a proposed budget to Congress; who then approves or disapproves it; and then implements the spending as approved appropriations. Congress spends the money; not any president.

Saying Bush had an open checkbook is disingenuous and inaccurate. Presidents do the asking; Congress does the spending....and liberals ended the Bush years in control since the election they won in 2006.

There is plenty of blame to go around, but there were certainly many liberals that voted to approve and spend that nat'l. security money even when Repubs were in charge for those first Bush years. I remember Kerry and Edwards being red-faced over it too! Democrats never changed the spending as promised, once they took control either....and it is still climbing. Facts are facts.
