or how to say it but I will give it a try.
I have been reading the posts concerning the other board where Chosen has evidently taken residence or who has created his own site for whatever purpose. The neighborhood has been quite peaceful lately and I hope it stays that way but posting about the other site only sweetens the ego of those involved and why would anyone want to do that? My advice is to stop commenting on it and it will go away completely.
Everyone thought highly of Tom whatever his relationship with Chosen involved and now he is being put down for his involvement with this proboard. It appears that many of you know Tom and have a lot of respect for him and are now questioning his motives on the other board. I don't know Tom personally but was jumped on for using his name in one of my posts for us to find a place to get together. I emailed him and explained what I had meant and he seemed to accept my explanation. Anyone who knows me at all would know that I would not say or do anything to hurt someone. Nedl has asked us go go easy on Tom and I think that is the best approach for now.
On another note;
Remember, I was born and raised in Muscatine and eventually left for employment reasons for about 36 years and when retirement came, I chose to return to the city of my birth. People who knew me in the Southwest all questioned my wisdom of wanting to return to Iowa and the winters and humidity we have from an area that was pleasant to live in all year around and where the humidity was low. If one wanted to ski all he/she had to do was to drive up the mountain 16 miles to enjoy that. I just wanted to experience the seasons as Mother Nature had intended it to be able to have a boat and fish the mighty Mississippi. I have given up on this latter goal because of all the tragedy I have had to deal with and what it has cost me
Well there is more to my life history than that and because of that fact; I had expected many of you to know me. It seems as if most of my friends of my youth have either left town or passed away. Consequently, I am at a disadvantage not knowing many people locally and that is why I have sponsored several contests where I have been able to meet people who post in the neighborhood. Those posters can attest to the fact that I am harmless and not Jack the Ripper. I was hopeful I could get some of us to meet socially at a place we could agree on but very little interest has been shown so it is probably time to give that up. I know there is something important about keeping your identity secret and I agree with Big Brother on that. I am who I am and don't concern myself with others knowing who I am. I am thankful for the few I do know personally.
The posters I have met receive emails from me and I receive some from them. Lately I have had mail returned because the address I sent it to was no longer available. I don't want my email to be spam in your mail box so I am asking those of you who receive my mail, to let me know if you want me to continue. I know I have lost some friends along the way and I feel bad about that but not of my choosing. So, just let me know if I have become a pest to you. If you want me to remove you from my address book, just let me know.
The weather is beautiful today and I am helping someone move the best I can. My knees are killing me with the change to this wonderful weather and like most of my aches and pains, this will go away also.
