Fozoli's

Posted in: Muscatine

So....my mother made dishes from recipes handed down from generations ago....but that was not authentic German food I ate? So when I travelled to Germany and ate the same dishes, but determined my mother's was better, my mother's was still not authentic?

No wonder you were disappointed.

I didn't care for Fazoli's food.  Never had any major complaints about it, I just didn't like it that much.  Same for the service.  It wasn't horrible, it wasn't legendary, it was just okay.   I cook almost every meal at home, so as infrequently as I dine out,  I choose a restaurant carefully.  Fazoli's just wouldn't have been at the top of my list.

I'm getting a little creeped out though, by BB's posts lately.  we already have California in common, and now German food.   This is getting scary.  Laughing

I guess I didn't word that paragraph quite right - eh, we're human. However, I understand where your coming from.

My grandmother was born and raised in the Barvarian area of Germany. Been there too.

The food tasted pratically the same. BUT that's my taste bud experience.  And yes, I've had the REAL thing in terms of Italian food as well. As mentioned in my post, Fozzies was a gimmick, nothing more.

Every restaraunt has a gimmick. I'm sure we can all think of many.
