i visit a couple of national boards besides the local muscanburg sites. like here, i mainly lurk and post a random thought every once in awhile. this is one of those random times.
on one of the other boards, an usually bright fellow has claimed as a theory that in mankind's ancient past, giant birds (now extinct) were domesticated to carry passengers for air travel.
he acknowledges that there is no hard evidence for this claim...and, stranger still, several other posters think his claim is possible or even likely.
i wanted to point out that crazy thoughts and reactions are not just a local phenomenon...in fact, i find that muscanburg often seems to be a reasonable place when compared to the 'big picture'.
