MP&W "Digital TV"

Posted in: Muscatine

Someone has fed you some wrong info, Tom. This 'box' that we MUST have is not a digital converter box. I have an HGTV - newer model - they did not ask about my TV - just told me that unless I get a 'cable box' on every TV I will only be able to receive the 'basic' pkg which is 25 channels. The 'cable box' enables me to get 86 channels plus music. The 'cable box' is $4 per month per box and the charge for the 86 channels plus music is $52.79 per month. My daughter lives in Davenport and does not have to have a 'cable box'. This is something that MP&W dreamed up to get more of our hardearned bucks.

In reading this it appears MPW is overstepping the wants of it's customers.

It does seem to be time to move elsewhere.

Tina got us the dish network about a year ago.  Its okay, but during real heavy thunder storms it does act up.  It has some channels cable doesn't offer.  We really like the ION channel.  There is also IFC Indepent Film Channel.  Sometimes some real interesting movies on that one.  The only thing I miss from cable is watching the city council meetings on the local channel (9?)  Other than that it is cheaper and just as good.
